Clinical Standards and Patient Safety

Diagnostic Orders Direct operates under licensed provider oversight with patient safety as the governing clinical standard.

Independent Medical Review

Every order request is independently reviewed by a licensed DOD provider. Reviews are genuine clinical assessments — not rubber-stamp approvals.

Orders Not Guaranteed

A requested order is never automatic. The provider may recommend a different study, request additional information, or advise in-person evaluation.

Not a Facility

DOD is not an imaging center, laboratory, or radiology service. Patients present orders at facilities of their own choosing.

Not Emergency Care

This service is for non-emergency, non-acute order consultations only. Emergency symptoms require 911 or the nearest ER.

HIPAA Compliant

Patient information is handled in accordance with HIPAA privacy and security standards. Your health information is protected.

Licensed in 30+ States

All providers maintain active state medical licenses in each jurisdiction where DOD operates. Service is limited to supported states.

How the Provider Review Process Works

From your first request to receiving an order when medically appropriate — here is exactly how the DOD telehealth consultation process works.

1

Submit Your Intake

Complete a secure online intake form describing your symptoms, medical history, prior imaging, current medications, and the specific order you are requesting.

2

Licensed Provider Reviews

A licensed DOD provider — Dr. DiSanto, Jordan Dorsey, or Tod Work — independently reviews your request against clinical appropriateness standards. This is a real medical review, not automatic approval.

3

Order Issued When Appropriate

If your request meets clinical appropriateness criteria, an order is issued within 1 business day. The order specifies the exam type, body part, protocol, and clinical indication.

4

Use at Your Chosen Facility

Present your order to any accredited imaging center, laboratory, or diagnostic facility of your choosing. You control where you schedule and at what cost.
