Medical Disclaimer

Diagnostic Orders Direct is not an emergency service. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency care immediately.
1. Educational Content Only
Content on this website, including guides, blog articles, FAQs, and education pages, is general educational information only. It is not individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and reading it does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Guides, blog articles, FAQs, education pages, and any other content are general educational information, may not reflect the most current evidence, and are not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified healthcare provider who knows your individual circumstances.
2. What the Service Is — and Is Not
- Diagnostic Orders Direct facilitates a virtual provider review of requests for diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and EKG orders. Diagnostic Orders Direct is not an imaging center, laboratory, radiology group, insurer, or pharmacy. It facilitates a virtual provider review of diagnostic-order requests; the imaging or testing itself is performed by independent third-party facilities that set their own pricing, scheduling, and acceptance policies.
- An order is issued only when a licensed provider determines it is medically appropriate. Payment for a provider review does not guarantee that an order will be issued.
- Facility acceptance and scheduling policies vary. Patients should confirm acceptance with the imaging center or laboratory before scheduling.
- Facility charges (imaging, lab, radiologist, contrast, and related fees) are separate from the $40 provider review fee unless expressly stated otherwise, and are set by independent facilities.
- The provider's decision reflects their clinical judgment based on the information you submit. In some cases the provider may determine that no order is appropriate, or that in-person evaluation is needed first.
- We do not diagnose, treat, or interpret imaging or lab results. Results and their interpretation come from the performing facility and radiologist or pathologist, and questions about results should go to your treating clinician.
3. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee: issuance of any diagnostic order; acceptance of an order by any facility; scheduling outcomes; insurance coverage or reimbursement; price savings; turnaround time; or any particular clinical outcome from testing. Where content on this site describes typical processes or general price ranges, those are informational estimates only and vary by facility, region, protocol, contrast use, test complexity, and billing policies. Patients should confirm pricing directly with the imaging center or laboratory before receiving services.
4. Jurisdiction and Location
Clinical services are available only to eligible patients who are physically located in a supported U.S. jurisdiction at the time of the medical encounter. This website is informational and viewable internationally, but the clinical service is U.S.-jurisdiction limited.
5. Advertising Independence
Advertising displayed on public educational pages, if any, is a paid placement by third parties. It does not constitute a medical recommendation, is not selected or endorsed by our clinical providers, and does not influence provider clinical decisions. See our Advertising & Editorial Disclosure.
6. External Links
Links to third-party sites (including booking platforms and educational resources) are provided for convenience. We do not control their content or practices and are not responsible for them.
7. Telehealth Limitations
A remote review has limitations compared to an in-person examination: the provider cannot physically examine you, and the evaluation relies on the information you provide. Electronic communications have their own risks, and technology failures can delay communication. See our Terms for the full telehealth acknowledgment.
